My brother-in-law, Nathan, and his girlfriend, Samantha, visited us on their way to Virginia over the weekend. We carved out a little time for a mini-session (and when I say mini, I mean it. Altogether, the session was probably only 15 minutes!) and here are a few of them.
Nathan and Sam, I hope you two had fun at the beach and that you visit again soon. It was so good to see you : )

Blogged | Raleigh Fine Art Photographer
I was recently told that my photo, "State Fair," appears on the Manic Trout blog. Check it out! She has a great blog and some really cool jewelry.
Here's the photo that was featured. It's available for sale on my Etsy page : )

Reunited | Raleigh Family Photographer
After more than a week apart, our little family is back together again. Jacob and Phillip were in Alaska and I was in Phoenix with my Mom and Talah. It was a wonderful trip. We got to see Taliesin West, which was fabulous!
Now that I'm back, I can concentrate on the important things...like watching Next Food Network Star. I've really gotten into the Food Network lately. I can't believe I didn't jump on the bandwagon sooner. Honestly, for as much as I love food and TV, you'd think I'd have put two and two together sooner!

New Logo and a Haunting Old Building | Raleigh Family Photographer
You may be wondering, what's with the rosemary? I've always loved rosemary--the smell of it, the taste of it. I love rubbing it on my hands and arms so the scent can stay with me. I also have a huge rosemary bush in my yard. Most importantly, though, rosemary has been used throughout the centuries to stimulate the memory. I believe photographs have the power to do the same thing.
Alison Myers is the fantastic Raleigh-based graphic designer who created my logo for me. She does great work and is a pleasure to work with. Contact her for her design services!
Now for some photos : )
Jacob, Talah, and I were on our way home from breakfast with some friends over the weekend when I noticed this old building. It's completely ruined (or perfect, if you ask me) and will likely be torn down in the next week or two, along with the amazing old tree next to it, to make way for a new development. If anyone wants to do a session here, contact me NOW!
