I loved Erin's great idea of putting Bridget in a pink tutu and using her retro-cool pink tree for her mini session. Erin made the tutu herself and put the little flowers on her tank (I'm impressed!) and the ornaments are vintage ornaments that belonged to Erin's grandmother. I love it when there's a family tie-in. Doesn't she look adorable?

Meet Mattingly | Raleigh Newborn Photographer

Mattingly was a 4 weeker, but she was a dream to work with and slept so well during our session! Her parents named her after Don Mattingly from the New York Yankees. Very creative, no? Angie and Paul, congratulations on your beautiful baby!

Congratulations to Tracy Raver and Kelley Ryden!

I had to post this when I learned (via Beth Jansen's blog) that Tracy Raver was interviewed by Meredith Viera on the Today Show! She and her twin sister, Kelley Ryden, are fantastic and inspirational photographers based in Omaha, Nebraska. I'm so happy I got to spend a day working with and learning (a lot) from them earlier in the summer. I included the shots from that day in this post. Kelley and Tracy, congratulations on this recognition. It's well deserved!

Last week I flew to Omaha to work with and learn from the amazingly talented Kelley Ryden and Tracy Raver. We were able to play quite a bit and I'm thrilled with the shots we were able to get!

Baby Bridget and Erin | Raleigh Baby Photographer

You may remember Erin from her maternity session last year with her husband, Roger. Sweet baby Bridget is the one who was waiting to join the world at that time. I don't mean to dote, but I think she looks like a Gerber baby! So, so cute (and happy!). And wearing Matilda Jane in the first picture (and a few others below). By the way, I learned a new word in Polish which, apparently, makes Bridget smile every time she hears it : )
